Elizabeth E. “Betty” Roccia, 89, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Exton, Pa., passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, while under the care of St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born Feb. 3, 1932, and raised in Callery, she was the daughter of the late William Marburger and Leona Davison Marburger.

Betty was a faithful member of Crestview Community Church in Callery, where she played piano and sang in the choir. Betty was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Callery VFD.

She worked for many years in her father’s store located in Callery, and also worked for Mine Safety Appliances. She retired from Eagle Eye Clothing Co. in Philadelphia.

Above all, she will be remembered as a true patriot. She always had an American flag flying in her yard year-round. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who will be dearly missed.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Wayne (Peggy) Roccia and Denise (Tony) DiVirgilio; her daughter-in-law, Cynda Roccia, who is the wife of the late Donald Roccia; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Larry) Moreau, Merrie Beth (Jesse) Houseman and Dr. Wayne (Stephanie) Roccia; her great-grandchildren, Graham and Leyton Moreau, Olivia, Victoria, Alexander and Jackson Roccia, and Ethan Houseman; her brother, Gary (Emma) Marburger; her sister, Barb Barnett; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert D. “Bob” Roccia, who passed away on July 5, 2017; her son, Donald Roccia, who passed away on Jan. 16, 2016; and her sister, Merrie Grace Iman, who passed away on March 1, 2017.

ROCCIA — A celebration of life service for Elizabeth E. “Betty” Roccia, who died Thursday, June 17, 2021, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at Crestview Community Church, 210 Kline Ave., Callery. A luncheon will follow the service, where everyone is welcome to attend.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

Memorial donations may be made in her honor to Crestview Community Church, 210 Kline Ave., Callery, PA 16024.
