Tomas W. Sloan

Tomas W. Sloan, 74, of Natrona Heights, passed away with his family at his side on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021.

He was born June 10, 1947, in Butler, and was raised by the late Donald and Ana (Alers) Stewart.

Tomas (Tom) received his bachelor of science in civil engineering from Tri-State College, and his master's in business administration from Robert Morris University.

He retired as a senior engineer and principal consultant from General Physics.

Tom was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Tom is survived by his wife of 49 years, Paulette (Trettel) Sloan; his daughters, Loren (Matthew) Kurpiewski of Pittsburgh, and Dr. Melissa (Bryan Easter) Sloan of Sarasota, Fla.; his grandchildren, Sloan, Cleo, Ana, Eli and Gia; his brother, Joseph Edwin Sloan; and his sisters, Kathy (David) Shidemantle and Joanne Sloan Ellenberger.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Stewart.

SLOAN — Friends of Tomas W. Sloan, who died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Officiating will be the Rev. John B. Lendvai.

Burial will be private.
