Mary Lou Davis
Mary Lou Davis, 90, of Butler, passed away on Dec. 26, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
She was born April 4, 1931, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late James Fend and the late Emily Cottrill Fend.
Mary Lou graduated from Butler High School in 1949.
She worked as a teacher's aide at the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV. Mary Lou was the secretary for the family business, Davis Well Drilling.
She was a member of Oak Hills Christian Church and enjoyed going to church.
Mary Lou enjoyed cooking, baking, musical theater, going on bus trips, and watching wildlife and nature. She took pride in decorating and maintaining her home.
As a resident of Concordia at the Orchard for the past three years, Mary Lou enjoyed attending activities with new friends. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mary Lou is survived by her three sons, Richard Davis of Butler, Dennis (Debbie) Davis of Butler, and John (Kim) Davis of Kittanning; one daughter, Beverly Davis of Butler; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Thelda Geibel of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Davis, whom she married on Oct. 14, 1950, and who passed away March 3, 2016; seven brothers; and three sisters.
DAVIS — Friends of Mary Lou Davis, who died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021, will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with a service immediately following at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Powell officiating.
Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oak Hill Christian Church, 100 Township Lane, Butler, PA 16002.
