SRU alum nets 4 in goalball victory
TOKYO — Slippery Rock University alumnus Calahan Young scored four goals Thursday in leading the United States' men's goalball team to an 8-6 victory over Brazil at the Paralympic Games.
Young is captain of the U.S. squad.
His second goal tied the game with six minutes left in the second half. Young added two more goals to cement the victory.
It was Brazil's first loss in any tournament in five years.
The United States plays host Japan in its next game.
