Robert "Bobby" Thompson, 63, of Mars, formerly of Valencia, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

He was born July 28, 1958, in Pittsburgh, and was the son of the late Robert Lester Thompson and the late Gloria (Greenawalt) Thompson.

Bobby had worked at Austin’s Bleach Company for 25 years.

He loved watching sports, especially the Penguins and Pirates.

Surviving are his three sisters, Karen Thompson of Mars, Sharon Ehrman of Butler and Gail Thompson of Butler; two brothers, Danny Thompson and Larry Thompson, both of Butler; his niece and caregiver, Sonya (Samuel Letizia) Thompson of Mars; and his cat, Stewart.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

THOMPSON — Friends of Robert "Bobby" Thompson, who died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Saturday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev. Jim Lewis officiating.

Private interment will be held in Butler County Memorial Park.
