Patricia Mastandrea has been named the CEO of the MedCare Equipment Co.

Mastandrea has been serving as the acting CEO since April at the Greensburg-based company.

According to a news release from Excela Health on Monday, Mastandrea's business acumen led to the establishment of the highly successful joint venture that now exists between MedCare and eight health systems across Western Pennsylvania, including the Butler Health System.

Mastandrea has 30 years of health care experience, beginning with her career in procurement at UPMC.

For the past 15 years, she has served as MedCare's chief operating officer.

She was recognized as an HME Excellence Award winner in 2015.
