Charges filed in case of drugs in bra
A Venango County woman was busted with drugs in her bra at the Butler County Prison.
State police Tuesday charged Lisa Marie Wincek, 39, of Oil City with a felony count of bringing a controlled substance into the prison stemming from the incident last year.
Troopers initially arrested Wincek for driving under the influence of drugs around 1 a.m. Sept. 11 on Route 308 in Center Township.
During the traffic stop, she appeared impaired to the extent that she did not know where she was, police said.
“Wincek believed she was in the state of Virginia,” according to court documents.
She allegedly admitted to using prescription drugs before driving, but she was unable to say what she had taken.
The troopers took her to the county prison. But before she was booked, police said, she was asked if she had any drugs on her. She replied that she did not.
A search by prison staff, however, turned up a small, clear plastic bag containing an unknown brown powder in her bra.
The suspected contraband was subsequently sent to the police crime lab in Westmoreland County.
Investigators on Sunday received the lab results, documents said, which showed the bag contained 0.87 grams of heroin and fentanyl.
District Judge William Fullerton issued an arrest warrant for Wincek on Tuesday.
