Roger W. Stedina

Roger W. Stedina, 66, of Harmony, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, while under the care of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born June 10, 1955, in Fombell, he was the son of the late William Stedina and Shirley Crawford Olinger.

Roger proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Intrepid during the Vietnam War, and also served in the U.S. Army.He played guitar and sang alongside his lifelong friends and bandmates, Dave, Kurt and John, in their bands, Equinox One, Hemlock, and the Us Band. He was an avid fan of The Beatles.Roger also enjoyed collecting antique firearms. He loved traveling and going to concerts with his family.Above all, Roger cherished the time he spent with the love of his life, Jill A. Stedina, his wife of 38 years, who passed away on Dec. 30, 2020.He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Roger M. Stedina of Crafton, and Bethany Sietsma of North Carolina; his sisters, Audrey McKinney and Jennifer Chandler; and his nieces and nephews, Kari, Chris, Ted, Rachel, Emma, Andrew, Kenny and Danny.In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Pearson.STEDINA — Friends of Roger W. Stedina, who died Wednesday, June 30, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Reid Moon as celebrant.He will be laid to rest with military honors at St. Peter's Reformed Church Cemetery in Zelienople.Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
