BUTLER TWP - Police are searching for a teenage girl who is believed to be in the area of Butler City.

According to a report by Butler Township police, 17-year-old Shana Hoy did not return to her home on Old Plank Road after attending Butler Senior High School on Friday.

“Shana, we do love you,” said her mother, Theresa Hoy. “We can work this out. Please come home.”

Hoy, who has a recent history of running away from home, was last seen in Father Marino Park in Butler around 3 p.m. Saturday.

According to police, Hoy was in the company of other juveniles who ran toward the railroad tracks behind the Elks Lodge when they saw Hoy's family members.

Hoy is described as a light-skinned black female who weighs 135 pounds. No clothing description is available.

Hoy could be in the company of a boy named Ian. She was reportedly with Ian during an earlier runaway incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
