The Lifesteps’ Child Check team will conduct free screenings in February:
9 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 1, Butler YMCA, 339 N. Washington St.
9 a.m. to noon Feb. 22, Lifesteps Butler County Program Center, 383 New Castle Road
A Child Check visit takes about 30 minutes and the results are discussed immediately with the parents.
The screening evaluates the child’s development in playing, talking, seeing, hearing, moving and thinking.

[naviga:h3]Families Forever seminar slated[/naviga:h3]
A Families Forever seminar, offered by Lifesteps, will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at Lifesteps, 300 Stirling Village.
Families Forever teaches parents how to minimize the negative effects on children involved in divorce and custody situations.

KARNS CITY — Applications for the Griffith D. Morgan Scholarship are available in the guidance offices of Karns City High School and Armstrong High School. The application deadline is April 30.
Each applicant must be a permanent resident of East Brady in Brady Township, Clarion County or Sugarcreek Township, Bradys Bend Township or Washington Township, Armstrong County, and enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university program for the 2016-2017 school year.
Official transcripts and evidence of college admission are required with the application.
