Norma Pacifico

Norma Eleanor Pacifico, 94, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, at the Seasons of Saxonburg.

Norma was a matriarch of the Pacifico family, dedicating the majority of her life to care for her parents. Her ancestry was important to her, and she loved to tell stories about her family and their life in Italy.

She was born Dec. 14, 1926, and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, moving to Butler in the late 1980s. She worked in the clothing industry until her retirement from the Campus Sweater Co. in Cleveland.

Norma was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, and she was an active volunteer there for many years. As president of St. Michael’s senior group, 55 Alive, she organized various events and one-day motor coach trips.

She loved traveling, gardening and watching old movies.

She is survived by three nieces, Kathy Higgins (Mike) of Odenton, Md., Mary Spryn (John) of Butler; and Amy Cecil (Kevin) of Burlington, N.C.; and a nephew, Vince Pacifico of Erie.

She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Vincenzo and Gaetana Bonomo Pacifico, and her brother, Harold Pacifico.

PACIFICO — A Mass of Christian burial for Norma Eleanor Pacifico, who died Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, will be celebrated with the immediate family Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, with the Rev. Kevin Fazio officiating,

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Norma’s memory to either the American Heart Association or the Butler County Humane Society.
