SAXONBURG — The South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St., has slated the following programs:

1 p.m. Friday screening of the movie “Tess of the D'Urbervilles;”

6:30 p.m. Aug. 2 “Medicare Made Clear” education event with Becky Stallsmith of Financial Essentials;

6:30 p.m. Aug. 3, Fred Caesar, curator of the Saxonburg Museum, will share stories of agriculture and farms in the Saxonburg area.

The General Butler Vagabonds Center, 138 Whitestown Road in Butler Township, is hosting a “Pasta for the Playground” spaghetti dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 4 to raise money for gaga pit and playground at Broad Street Elementary School in Butler.Dine-in and take-out meals will be available.

Kittanning Street in Butler will close from Aug. 9 to 12 from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day for patching between Jefferson Street and the railroad crossing, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. To detour, motorists should use Route 68 to Route 422 to Route 2006 to Route 2004.

American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora is hosting a bike night from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 9, featuring music, food and 50/50 raffle. The event is being sponsored by the Sons of the Legion and the Legion Riders.

The Knoch High School Class of 1975 will have its delayed 45th reunion beginning at 6 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Butler Country Club, 310 Country Club Road.For more information, call 724-816-0522.

HARRISVILLE — There will be a craft bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Department, located on Route 58 east of Route 8.There will be free admission and parking. For more information, call 724-4646.

The American Legion Post 778 Auxiliary is hosting its ninth annual holiday craft and vendor show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 6.The event will include a basket auction and a variety of craft and vendor products.
