Elva A. Maxwell
Elva A. Maxwell, 96, of Key West, Fla., formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully on Wednesday while surrounded by family.
Elva was born Oct. 28, 1921, in Pittsburgh.
She graduated from Westinghouse High School.
She loved to play bingo and card games, as well as tend to her flowers. She loved swimming, camping, walking her dog and talking to everyone she met. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her husband and family.
Elva lived her life to the fullest, bringing joy and love to everyone around her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter and son-in-law, Arlene S. and Robert P. Kaufman; four grandchildren and their spouses, Robert R. and Tammi Kaufman, Sharon L. and Tom Ford, Richard D. and Vicki Kaufman, and Karen S. and her significant other, Scott Lewis; seven great-grandchildren, Bryan and Stephen King, Matthew, Jonathan and Katie Ford, and Ryan and Robin Kaufman; and a great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth King.
Elva was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Donald R. Maxwell, who died June 24, 2013.
