EMILY HEGEDUS (Karns City) had 14 points and seven rebounds in Clarion’s 65-45 women’s basketball loss to California (Pa.).

JIMMY PETRUSKA (Mars) guided the Saint Vincent women’s basketball team to the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Presidents’ Athletic Conference Tournament. The Bearcats are 19-6 overall, 15-1 in PAC play.

JAMES PARENTI (Moniteau) placed fifth in the weight throw for Grove City at the PAC Indoor Championships. His throw was 48 feet.

LOGAN DeJONGE (Knoch) placed second in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 8.5 inches for Grove City at the Mount Union Invitational.

JUSTIN STEWART (Butler) had a double and run scored for the Califiornia (Pa.) baseball team in the Vulcans’ 4-3 win over Wheeling. Stewart is a sophomore catcher.

BARBIE CESSAR (Slippery Rock) won the 200 breaststroke in 2 minutes, 31.25 seconds for Penn State Behrend at the Allegheny Empire Championships.

CODY SCHNUR (Butler) had seven kills for the Penn State Behrend men’s volleyball team in its 3-0 loss to Messiah.
