One flown to hospital from I-79 rollover
Multiple crews responded to an early morning vehicle crash on Interstate 79 near mile-marker 95.
Firefighters arrived around midnight Tuesday at the scene, where they found a vehicle rolled onto its roof in the grassy median.
According to a Facebook post by the Portersville-Muddy Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department, one person was trapped in the vehicle.
“Upon arrival, crews used hydraulic tools to open the door and extricate the patient,” the post said.
The post said the patient was airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital; however, the person's injuries and status were not mentioned.
Crews remained on scene for more than two hours while state police investigated and the debris was cleared.
Other departments assisting were Harmony Fire District and Portersville EMS.
