Michael F. Lonzo
Michael F. Lonzo, 92, formerly of Harmony, passed away in the comfort of his home in Chambersburg, Pa., on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021.
Michael was born on Sept. 12, 1929, in Pittsburgh, and was the son to the late Michael and Eva Lickert Lonzo.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Rita “Sue” Lonzo, who passed away Dec. 4, 2015. They are now together in the Lord's kingdom forever.Michael Lonzo was a veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.Michael was employed at Kane Hospital until his retirement. He then worked at Seneca Valley School District after his retirement.Michael is survived by his daughter, Bernadette Lonzo; his grandchildren, James (Stephanie), Samuel (Dana) and Sarah Lonzo; and blessed with four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Liam, Eliana and Caliana. He also loved his neighbors, Bonnie and Dave, and their family.Michael always loved his family and friends. He was always willing to help others in any way. Because he trusted many without question, they stole his house and left him with nothing in the end. However, Michael always believed that one must forgive such people as Jesus Christ has forgiven us through His sacrifice. As it is written in 1 Timothy 6:9-10: For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. May the Lord Jesus Christ forgive those who are consumed by greed and sin in their hearts.Lonzo — Friends of Michael F.
