Diane L. McClellan

Diane L. Shields McClellan, 71, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 26, 1950, in Kane, Pa., and was the daughter of the late David Shields and Earla Sheeley Shields.

Diane graduated from East Forest High School in Marienville, Pa. She received her medical secretary degree from Robert Morris University, and worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Drennen and Tri-Rivers.

Diane enjoyed golfing, bowling, knitting, traveling, boating, and loved the beach, especially Hilton Head. She was an avid reader, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Diane was a member of Victory Family Church.

She is survived by three sons, Rich (Becky) McClellan of Dillsburg, Pa., Ryan (Kim) McClellan of Butler, and Rob (Kim) McClellan of Butler; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Donna Snyder; and one brother, David Shields.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick McClellan, whom she married on June 3, 1972, and who passed away on Nov. 6, 2021.

MCCLELLAN — Friends of Diane L. Shields McClellan, who died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Victory Family Church, 21150 Route 19, Cranberry Township, to honor Diane and her late husband, Patrick. Pastor Robert Kaleta will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pat and Diane McClellan Memorial Fund, c/o Slippery Rock Golf Club, 160 Ralston Road, Slippery Rock, PA 16057.
