Dennis E. Smith

Dennis E. Smith, 73, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, following a brief illness.

Born Feb. 17, 1948, he was the son of the late Edmund and Doris (Champagne) Smith.

He was the beloved husband of Mary (Joyce) Smith, whom he married on Sept. 9, 1972; the loving father of Eric (Rachel) Smith; Pap-Pap of Tyler and Lana; and is also survived by his nephew, Mark, and his nieces, Cheryl, Tracy, Jennifer, Mairead and Siobhan.

He was an avid golfer, known to frequent various Western Pennsylvania golf courses with his son and closest friends. He was often found at the local YMCA or doing hundreds of laps in the backyard pool. However, he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his two grandchildren, giving them whatever they wanted.

SMITH — Family and friends of Dennis E. Smith, who died Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, are welcome from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ferdinand Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.
