Man accused of sexual assault of girl
A Butler man was arrested and taken to the Butler County Jail on Friday afternoon after he was accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old Petrolia girl.
The station received a Child Line anonymous call about Ivan Cumba, 47, allegedly assaulting the girl, state police Trooper Jessica Titler said.
During a forensic interview at the Butler County Alliance for Children, the 14-year-old disclosed that Cumba fondled her breasts under her shirt and penetrated with his fingers, she said.
This is believed to have occurred on two occasions within a week from each other in November 2018 at the girl's residence in Petrolia, she said, adding that Cumba knew the victim.
His charges include aggravated indecent assault, corruption of a minor, indecent assault and disorderly conduct.
Cumba, who was placed in the Butler County Jail, was arraigned by District Judge Lewis Stoughton. Bond was set at $50,000.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 17.
