Bucs, Cabrera signing minor league deal
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates have reportedly signed free agent outfielder Melky Cabrera to a minor league contract, according to MLB Network sources.
The deal, worth up to $2 million in incentives, includes an invitation to the Bucs’ major league spring training camp.
Cabrera, 34, hit .280 with six home runs for Cleveland last season. He has a career .286 batting average with 137 home runs and 807 RBI in 14 big league seasons.
