College Notes

EMMA MARTIN (Mars) won her match at No. 6 singles as the Penn State Behrend women's tennis team defeated Medaille, 8-1.

DALTON ANDERSON and JACOB PATTON (Moniteau) placed second in their respective events for Westminster at the Bethany College Outdoor Track and Field Opener. Anderson had a 1.78-meter leap in the high jump while Patton ran the 110 hurdles in 17.16 seconds.

RYAN GREER (Seneca Valley) scored two goals in Westminster's 29-9 men's lacrosse win over Franciscan. The 29 goals marked a team record.

ASHLEIGH SCHMIDT (Freeport) singled in the first game and struck out four batters in four innings pitched of the second game as Penn State Behrend's softball team split a doubleheader with Pitt-Greensburg.

STEPH CROLL (Slippery Rock) tried for 12th overall with a 103 as Grove City's women's golf team placed fourth at the Westminster Invitational.

JAMES PARENTI (Moniteau) tossed the discus 131 feet, 1 inch, good for second place as the Grove City men's track and field team placed fifth at the Bethany Invitational.

SCOTT HANGLITER (Seneca Valley) carded a 72 to help lead the Grove City men's golf team to a runner-up finish at the Thiel Invitational. He was second in the 27-golfer field.

TODD HANGLITER (Seneca Valley) shot an 85 and placed 20th in his collegiate debut.

LAKE PRY (Moniteau) struck out nine in seven innings and was a hard-luck loser as Grove City's baseball team dropped a 3-2 decision to Saint Vincent in the second game of a doubleheader.

BRANDEN MILLWARD (Seneca Valley) recovered a fumble in Westminster's 52-21 football win at Geneva.

AUTUMN PETTINATO (Butler) placed third in the javelin with a toss of 34.14 meters for Clarion's women's track and field team at the Elliston Earlybird Open.

CHELSEY KABEL (Butler) ran a leg of the Golden Eagles' 4x400 meter relay that took third in 4:19.70.

AIDAN DOMENCIC (Seneca Valley) placed seventh in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Cross Country Championship, running a time of 19:49.91 for Penn State Behrend.
