The Musical Theatre Guild in collaboration with Butler County Community College's Cultural Center and Succop Theater will open the who "Damn Yankees" on Friday.

Curtain is at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and are available at May's Music Shoppe, 247 E. Jefferson St., from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

ALLEGHENY TWP, Westmoreland County — Freeport Theatre Festival, celebrating its 21st season this summer, is bringing back Rennick Steele's "Cauldron of Steel," a historical drama celebrating the founding of Vandergrift, Westmoreland County.The story begins in 1895 and looks at the founding of a town and the immigrants who worked and sacrificed to make it their new home.Performances are set for 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday and July 23, 24 and 25.Ticket are $10 and $12. HARMONY — The Bottlebrush Gallery & Shop hosts a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday for ceramic artist Amanda Wolf's exhibit "New Works."The show runs through Aug. 15.The gallery hosts an event the third Friday of each month. PITTSBURGH — The Tony Award-winning musical "Hairspray" makes its Pittsburgh CLO premiere run July 20 to Aug. 1 at the Benedum Center, 719 Liberty Ave.Audiences will be whisked away to 1960s Baltimore for this story of Tracy Turnblad, a larger-than-life personality with a big hairdo and big dreams of dancing on the local "Corny Collins Show."Songs include "Good Morning, Baltimore" and "You Can't Stop the Beat."Performances will be at 8 p.m. July 20, 21, 23, 27, 28, 29 and 30, at 1 and 8 p.m. July 22, at 2 and 8 p.m. July 24 and 31, and at 2 p.m. July 25 and Aug. 1.Tickets start at $26.50 and are available online at pittsburghCLO.org or by calling 412-456-6666.

The 47th annual Horse Trading Days opens today and continues through Saturday along Main Street in both Harmony and Zelienople.A farmers market will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Friday.New this year is a car cruise on Saturday. Seventeen car clubs will participate, and more than 150 cars will be on display.Many of the old standards of the festival will return, including the horse parade at 7 p.m. today, musical entertainment, the karaoke contest, sidewalk sales, historic tours, the crowning of Little Miss and Mr. Horse Trader, and the wooden nickels redeemable for discounts and freebies.

SARVER — The Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania will conduct hands-on nature programs at both Todd Nature Reserve and the Butler-Freeport Community Trail.The programs range from morning bird monitoring hikes and afternoon "walkabouts" to "Pond Dipping," "Owl Prowls," and "Stream Safaris."
