Mars man finds himself in 'Camelot'
PITTSBURGH — Mars resident Greggory Brandt is appearing in “Camelot” for the Pittsburgh Public Theater.
Brandt will be playing the role of Sir Sagramore.
He was in both the Broadway and national touring productions of “Les Misérables” in the role of Enjolras and was also in the cast of the Broadway musical, “A Tale of Two Cities.” Additional national tours include “Camelot” and “Bells Are Ringing.”
Favorite local credits for Brandt are Pittsburgh CLO’s productions of “A Musical Christmas Carol,” “Les Misérables,” “Into the Woods” and “A Little Night Music” and Pittsburgh Musical Theatre’s “Disney’s High School Musical.”
A member of the Actors’ Equity Association, Brandt holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Carnegie Mellon University.
“Camelot” evokes the court of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The legend is told through music and a story about the quest for chivalry and the forces that stand in its way.
The musical runs Jan. 20 to Feb. 20 at the O’Reilly Theater, 621 Penn Ave.
The performance schedule is 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays (except Feb. 15 when the show is at 7 p.m.); at 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays (except no show Jan. 29), and at 7 p.m. Sundays.
There will be an additional 2 p.m. matinee on Feb. 17.
Tickets range from $40.75 to $65.75; students and anyone age 26 and younger pay $15.75.
