“Broadway in the Park,” new for Cranberry Community Days, will be staged at 7 p.m. today in the Rotary Amphitheater at Cranberry Township Community Park. The production, being put together by Cranberry resident Chris Saunders, will feature an hour of popular Broadway songs. Area stars of the stage Sarah Bishop, Alison Rose and Billy Mason will perform. Admission is free. Take a blanket or lawn chair for seating.

Freeport Theatre Festival opens “Battle of Bushy Run” Friday as the first of its two summer shows. This new historical drama written by Rennick Steele relates to the battle, which took place near Harrison City, Westmoreland County, on Aug. 5 and 6, 1763.
