Clarion holds auditions
Clarion University Theater will conduct auditions this weekend for its Summer Musical Theatre Festival productions of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”
Auditions will be at 10 a.m. Saturday for actors age 14 and younger, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday for actors older than 14, all at Marwick-Boyd Little Theater.
Participants are to take sheet music for two 16- to 32-measure cuts of musical theater style songs — one ballad and one up-tempo. An accompanist will be provided. Those auditioning should be prepared for a dance audition as well.
“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will be staged between June 23 and July 2. “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” will run July 28 to Aug. 6, all in the Little Theater.
