Arthur Regatta set Aug. 6, 7MUDDY CREEK TWP — This year’s Regatta at Lake Arthur, beginning at 10 a.m. Aug. 6, offers free admission and parking. Art Center hosting campsArt camps for children ages 5 to 12 have started at the Butler Art Center, 344 S. Living history event plannedCOCHRANTON, Crawford County — A living history event that focuses on the French Indian War titled “1750 — A Gathering Storm in the French Creek Valley” will be July 23 and 24 at the Cochranton fairgrounds.The event highlights what occurred in French Creek Valley in the 1750s, including George Washington’s 1753 trek across the Pennsylvania frontier before the French Indian War.The free event has parking at the Cochranton Junior-Senior High School. Zelie festival begins todayZELIENOPLE — The 53rd annual Horse Trading Days run today through Saturday.A bus from Connoquenessing Valley Elementary School’s parking lot will shuttle visitors to and from the festival.Music is scheduled all three days. Entertainers include Franklin Park native Sydney Hutchko, No Bad Juju and The Softwinds.Other attractions are horse-drawn wagon rides, the Round Up Horse Parade at 7 p.m. Friday, craft vendors and children’s activities.A new outdoor stage will be set up at the Spring Street parking lot and used for entertainment. Riverfest is this weekendEAST BRADY, Clarion County — The annual East Brady Riverfest will have new and traditional events Friday through Sunday.It starts with the parade at 6:30 p.m. Friday followed by music by the Wrangler Band from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.The festival also will have a wood carver performing on Saturday and Sunday.A children’s walk has been added to the 5K race Saturday morning followed by afternoon festivities that will include a petting zoo for children from 2 to 5 p.m.Fireworks will end the Saturday activities about 10 p.m. On Sunday, the festival will host an interfaith church service.For more information, visit www.eastbradyareariverfest.com or call 724-841-6218.
