BLT opens ‘Game’s Afoot’Butler Little Theatre opens “The Game’s Afoot, or Holmes for the Holidays” by Ken Ludwig on Friday.The show will run through Dec. 3, with curtain at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at the theater at One Howard St.Tickets are $12. Music society hosts programOpus I Music Society will continue its celebration of “anniversaries” with a program Dec. 12 about the history behind selected Christmas carols, a sing-along and learning Gustav Holst’s “Lullay My Liking.”The meeting in the music room of Mars Alliance Church, Route 228 in Adams Township, will begin at 9:30 a.m. with refreshments and networking. Train display debuts modelPITTSBURGH — The Carnegie Science Center unveiled its newest addition to the Miniature Railroad & Village recently.A model of the Westinghouse atom smasher, a symbol of Pittsburgh’s industrial innovation, joins other local landmarks in the iconic exhibit.The Miniature Railroad & Village was created by Charles Bowdish in 1919 and displayed at his home. In 1954, the display moved to Buhl Planetarium and relocated to science center in 1992.
