[naviga:h3]‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ nears[/naviga:h3]

Butler Little Theatre’s 2018-19 season will continue with “Tuesdays with Morrie,” a drama by Jeffrey Hatcher and Mitch Albom based on Albom’s book, from Jan. 11 to 19.

The cast has been announced and includes John Henry Steelman and Jeff Carey. Director is Bob Craig, with assistant director Matt Perotti.

Curtain at the BLT, One Howard St., is 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, and at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

[naviga:h3]SV site of play ‘Your Alien’[/naviga:h3]

Seneca Valley Intermediate High School will host a children’s theater show at 2 p.m. Jan. 6 at the school in Jackson Township.

The Arts Power group will present “Your Alien,” based on the book by Tammy Sauer, as part of the 49th season of the Citizens Bank Children’s Theater Series.

The story is about a stranded alien who strikes up a friendship with the boy who finds him.

This event is recommended for children age 3 and older. The theater will be darkened with light coming from the stage for the 55-minute show.

[naviga:h3]‘Winters’ on tap for symphony[/naviga:h3]

Butler County Symphony Orchestra’s 70th anniversary season will continue with “Nordic Winters” in February.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Butler Intermediate High School’s auditorium.

Pre-concert talks begin at 6:30 p.m.
