Moraine events gather hundreds

PORTERSVILLE — Hundreds of people gathered at Moraine State Park to participate in several partnering events, including nearly 40 people braving frigid water temperatures to jump into Lake Arthur while helping raise money for the park and a Lawrence County charity on Saturday,
The 8th Annual Winterfest celebration was held at Pleasant Valley Beach, South Shore, Moraine State Park, which included the Chili Cook Off event and the third year for the Frosty Feet 5K by Moraine Preservation Fund, and culminated in the eighth annual Douse for a House polar plunge event held by the Lawrence County Habitat for Humanity.
