Fire alarm chases tenants in city
All residents were able to evacuate safely after a fire at this apartment house on Cunningham Street early Saturday morning, city firefighters report.
City and area firefighters responded to an apartment fire around 12:41 a.m. Saturday at 238 W. Cunningham St.
The renter tried to extinguish the fire before exiting, according to city firefighters.
Thanks to a working alarm system, all the other residents evacuated safely, and the apartment tenant, a man, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
