David Summers

David R. Summers, 54, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born on June 25, 1967, to Sandra (Spinetti) Summers and the late William Summers.

He was a graduate of Butler Senior High School.

David was a concrete laborer, working for various friends' concrete businesses over the years and had most recently worked for Roger Crawford, his best friend.

He enjoyed fishing with his brother and riding his motorcycle. He would take his daughter on long bike rides, which they both greatly enjoyed.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Leon (Kayleigh McCarthy) Summers; one daughter, Alyssa (Austin) Gardner; two brothers, Brian (Tammy) Summers and Bill (Paula Soley) Summers; one sister, Denise (Troy) Slater; two nieces, Kaylee Berman of Naples, Fla., and Selena Slater; one nephew, Troy (TJ) Slater; one grandson, Landon Summers, and one granddaughter on the way, all of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents; one niece, Alexis Summers; and two nephews, Matthew Summers and Michael Berman.

David will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and many friends.

SUMMERS — Friends of David R. Summers, who died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, will be received from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
