Why keep clearances?
So our president took away a former employee’s security clearance. Why would a person who is not longer a member of the U.S. government get to keep their security clearance? Does that apply to former members of Congress, president and so on?
I used to work in retail. If you no longer work for a retail store, they don’t let your password sit in the system. Why would we let a former government employee keep theirs?
There must be thousands of people with government passes. Just think of the damage they could cause if they were so inclined.
If someone had asked me if our retired government people had access after retirement, I’d have said no way.
Thank President Trump for opening my eyes and maybe the eyes of many more.
