Bradigan to merge with Armstrong Comfort Solutions
Kittanning’s Bradigan Heating and Air Conditioning is merging into Armstrong Comfort Solutions, according to a news release.
Bradigan’s HVAC will now be part of the Armstrong Group of Companies label. Armstrong is headquartered in Butler and serves customers in Butler, Allegheny and Mercer counties. This move expands their business in and around Kittanning.
The petroleum portion of Bradigan’s business will remain independently owned and operated and is not included in the deal, according to owner Paul Bradigan.
“We are only divesting the HVAC portion of our business,” Bradigan said. “We will continue to deliver heating oil and offer quality petroleum products to our many customers in the area.”
Bradigan’s was founded in 1952. Originally, it sold gasoline to farmers in Armstrong County before expanding to various other services.
Armstrong Comfort Solutions is one of many companies under the umbrella Amstrong Group of Companies, which was founded in 1946. Today, it employs more than 2,400 people nationwide.
Don Tacik, Armstrong Comfort Solutions’ president, said he’s excited to stretch further into Kittanning.
“We are excited to become a part of the community and build upon the strong reputation Paul Bradigan and his employees have earned here in Kittanning,” Tacik said. “Our company always puts the customers first, and we know that’s been Bradigan’s philosophy over the past 43 years.”
Tacik’s company offers plumbing services in its other locations, and plans to bring plumbing work to Kittanning through Bradigan’s.
“It’s really going from one family owned business to another,” Bradigan said.
