Turner, rain delay dampen Bucs' day
PITTSBURGH — Following a nearly 90-minute rain delay, Justin Turner belted two solo home runs to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a 2-1 lead over the Pittsburgh Pirates after seven innings on a rainy Wednesday night.
Turner homered in the top of the first off of Pirates starter Tyler Anderson and again went deep off the right-hander in his next at-bat in the third inning.
The Bucs scored in the bottom of the first inning when Gregory Polanco singled home Bryan Reynolds to tie the game at 1-1.
The series will conclude Thursday afternoon with a 12:35 p.m. first pitch.
