BUTLER TWP — Meridian Road was shut down this morning following a vehicle accident.

Township police report the vehicle, which was driven by Bobbie Hancheck, 21, of Butler hit a telephone pole along Meridian Road, knocking wires down onto the road, around 3:30 a.m.

According to Butler County 911 records, the road was closed until about 6 a.m.

Hancheck was taken by Butler Ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The Butler Township Volunteer Fire District 3 assisted at the scene.
