The third floor apartment in the house at 424 Zeigler Ave. was heavily damaged by fire Wednesday. No one was injured.

The fire call came into the Butler Fire Department about 2:20 p.m., with three tankers responding, plus the station's brush truck and a Butler Ambulance.

The fire took about 15 minutes to knock down, and then Chief Nick Ban began searching for the cause of the blaze.

Sandra McGinnis, who rents apartment No. 4 on the ground floor, said she was sitting in her apartment when someone knocked on the door telling her to get out because of the fire on upper floor.
