Harmony man faces child porn charges

Instagram turned in a 20-year-old local man for allegedly sending child pornography to another user.

Anthony J. “AJ” Bayle, 20, of Harmony, has been charged by state police with three felonies, including child pornography, disseminating media involving child sex acts and criminal use of communication facilities.

Bayle was arraigned Thursday by District Judge Wayne Seibel. Bayle was issued a non-monetary conditional bond that limits his access to the internet.

According to charging documents, Instagram sent a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

“Instagram related that a child pornography video was uploaded and sent to a user,” said the investigating trooper.

Police said the video shows two boys, estimated between 6 and 8 years old, naked and performing sexual acts.

According to police, part of the report from Instagram includes an IP address, which later led them to Bayle's home, where they executed a search warrant March 5. Police said Bayle came home during the search.

“Bayle admitted to viewing child pornography on his current cell phone,” police said.

A preliminary hearing for Bayle has been scheduled for July 6 before Seibel.
