John M. Garlow
John M. Garlow, 60, of Uniontown passed away Monday.
He was born Dec. 3, 1957, in Elyria, Ohio, a son of the late Jay Marcus and Mary Louise (Ford) Garlow.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Doris and Calvin Rockwell.
John proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1978 to 1983.
He was the proud owner, CEO and founder of Ford Business Machines Inc. Through his business, John became a staple in the local community, employing 72 people throughout southwestern Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Royal Order of Jesters.
He believed in philanthropy and giving back to his community. John was named Fayette County Citizen of the Year in 2012. His great legacy will be passed down to his children.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his fiancée, Tammy Lynn Rockwell; his children, Jordyn Marie Garlow, Justin Matthew Garlow and his wife, Jeonghwa, and Johnathan Markus Garlow and his wife, Kelli; his sisters, Debbie Anderson and her husband, Tom, and Jeanne Livingston and her husband, Mark; a special nephew, Josh Gerson and his wife, Cindy, and their children, Josh, Andrew and Evan; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Calvin Rockwell Jr. and his wife, Rhonda, Robin Viella and Al Jezewski, Gary Rockwell and his wife, Peggy, and Ben Rockwell and his wife, Marianna. John is also survived by many nieces, nephews, numerous relatives and several close friends.
GARLOW — Friends of John M. Garlow, who died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, where a blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
