County soccer players get all-state honors
Five Butler County soccer players have been named All-State by the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association.
Mars senior midfielder Ellie Coffield leads the way. She was named Pennsylvania Player of the Year on the girls side and also earned a spot on the Region II squad, which includes several states, including Pennsylvania. She is one of three region players to be named All-American, which is chosen by United Soccer Coaches.
Coffield’s teammates, Mars senior forwards Gracie Dunaway and Caroline Wroblewski, both were named All-State. Dunaway joined Coffield on the All-Region team.
On the boys side, Seneca Valley senior forward Zack LaValle and Butler junior forward Landon Mohney both received All-State honors.
