Kenneth MacRae Jr.

Kenneth James MacRae Jr. fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021.

He was born on Jan. 25, 1951, and was lovingly known as Jim and Uncle Jim by his family and friends. He was dearly loved by all who knew him.

Jim was a faithful employee, until his retirement from Goodwill in the South Side.

In his spare time, he loved to go bowling, play cards, make potholders, and play electronic games such as Yahtzee and Blackjack.

Jim loved to sing. He was a man prone to deep contemplation and had a brilliant mind. Most of all, Jim loved to spend time with those he loved.

Jim was preceded in death by his father and mother, Kenneth and Virginia MacRae; and his sister, Mary McAdams.

Jim is survived by his brother-in-law, Jeff (Michele) McAdams; his nieces, Leann (Nevin) Lawson and Lora (Pat) Stimel; his nephews, Caleb Gardone, Braydan Gardone; and his nieces, Brooklynne Stimel and Sophia Lawson; and his cherished cousins and loving friends.

May Jim’s memory be eternal!

Along with his stories, love, and thoughtfulness, Jim will be dearly missed. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers at Sunnyview Nursing Home for their exceptional care.
