First responders were on scene Wednesday night at the intersection of Hansen Avenue, Pillow Street and Fairground Hill Road where a juvenile was hit by a car while crossing the street after leaving Speedway.

A boy was transported to a hospital Wednesday evening after being hit by a car while crossing the street after leaving Speedway on Hansen Avenue.

The accident occurred about 6:10 p.m. at the intersection of Hansen Avenue, Pillow Street and Fairground Hill Road.

Officer Justin Hovancik, of the Butler Township Police Department, said the boy was crossing the street when he was hit by a vehicle approaching the intersection from Pillow Street.

The boy, who was believed to be 12 years old, was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Hovancik said no charges would be filed.

No other information was available Wednesday evening.
