Burton Duerring, the 87-year-old Clay Township man who went missing near his home Tuesday afternoon, was found alive this afternoon.

An ambulance about 3 p.m. was called to the Beaver Dam Road area, where searchers had been working for much of the preceding hours.

He had been missing since he took his dog for a walk from his home at 223 Beaver Dam Road and the dog returned hours later without him.

Duerring was wearing a camouflaged hat and coat.
