Butler County joins most of the state in this evening's hazardous weather outlook and tornado watch, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.

Outlook said the hazardous weather outlook started at Tuesday with a tornado watch from 1:45 to 10 p.m. Tuesday mixed with severe thunderstorms through the day and night.

The public is advised to listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to weather.gov on the Internet for more information about the following hazards.

The outlook also reported possibly harsh weather conditions extending through much of this week with scattered severe thunderstorms expected.

“The main threat will be damaging wind gusts and large hail,” the outlook said. “An isolated tornado is possible as well.”
