Nancy Sleigher

Nancy Jean Sleigher, 72, of East Butler, passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at South Baldwin Regional Center in Foley, Ala.

She was born May 17, 1949, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late John William Geagan Jr. and Betty (Livermore) Davis.

Nancy was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in America.

She was a summa cum laude graduate of Butler County Community College in 1987, and a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education in 1989.

She was a member of WIC (Women in Church) and volunteered at many activities at church.

Nancy was a mobile psychiatric rehabilitation specialist for Irene Stacy Community Health Center.

Surviving are her husband, Michael J. Sleigher of East Butler; two sons, Michael James Sleigher of Butler, and Jeffrey Allen Sleigher of Butler; two sisters, Carolyn (George) Clark of Butler, and Kathleen (Gary) Kradel of Butler; her half-brother, Kenneth Davis of Butler; and a number of nieces and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

SLEIGHER — Services for Nancy Jean Sleigher, who died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, will be held at a later date at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Interment will follow in the St. John's Reformed Cemetery.
