ERIE — Slippery Rock High School graduate Barbie Cessar won the 100 and 2900 breaststroke events for Penn State Behrend's women's swim team in a meet against Medaille and Pitt-Bradford recently.

Her times were 2:38.44 in the 200, 1:12.92 in the 100.

Knoch graduate Matt Karenbauer was a part of a winning relay and won an individual event for Behrend's men's team in that same meet.

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown drove a horse to victory for the third consecutive night in harness racing action Thursday at The Meadows.Brown drove Perfect Chapter AS, a 7-year-old gelding, to a win in a $10,300 Conditioned Trot.
