SRU issues alert after reported sex assault
Slippery Rock University issued a campus safety alert Tuesday following a report of a sexual assault off campus over the weekend.
The assault reportedly occurred Saturday evening behind the Ginger Hill Tavern in Slippery Rock Borough and was reported to the university’s student health services on Monday, said Rob King, university spokesman.
King said the safety alert was emailed to all students.
The university reminded students to be conscious of their surroundings and report anything suspicious to university police, borough police, state police or by calling 911.
