BUTLER TWP — Butler Township Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that took place Saturday.

According to an incident report, around 8:58 p.m. a light-colored SUV traveling along McQuistion Road made a right turn onto Morton Avenue, where it struck a Blue Honda CRV driven by Robert McCandless, 48, of Butler.

McCandless and his passenger suffered minor injuries.

The light-blue SUV, which should have sustained moderate driver’s side front-end damage, left the scene heading east on Freeport Road.
