16-year-old charged in leading police on vehicle chase
SUMMIT TWP — A 16-year-old driver has been charged with a pair of felonies after state police said he was clocked going 109 mph on Route 422.
The suspect, a Lyndora boy, is also accused of leading police on a short pursuit Friday night that ended when he bailed out of the car and ran. A trooper quickly caught the teenager, who authorities believe was impaired on marijuana.
But as the foot chase was unfolding, police said, the boy's passenger got into the driver's seat and took off in the same car.
