Owen Joseph Williams, 89, of Butler passed away on Tuesday at the Rebecca Residence at Concordia in Allison Park.

Born April 3, 1929, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late George L. Williams Sr. and Mary Phillips Williams.

Owen was the owner of Sportsman's Supply Company and Sports Shack.

He was a member of the Masonic AF&AM, Ohio Lodge No. 1 in Wheeling, W.Va., 32nd degree Scottish Rite and the Vance Presbyterian Church in Wheeling, W.Va. Owen was also a member of the Harrisville Deer Hunters Association, the NRA and ATA Trap Shoot Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and coin collecting.

Surviving are his loving wife, Shirley V. (Kennedy) Williams, whom he married Oct. 25, 1949; his sons, Lawrence O. (Terry Parr) Williams of Los Angeles, Calif., Grant A. (Debbie) Williams of Butler, Mark P. (Sandra) Williams of Gibsonia, and Robert L. (Kelley) Phillips of Murrietta, Calif.; a daughter, Cheryl D. (Carolyn Cass) Williams of Harrisburg; a brother, George L. (Ruth) Williams Jr. of Butler; a sister, Linda A. Christopher of Butler; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy R. Williams.
