Betty Lou Elliott

Betty Lou Elliott, 81, of Harrisville, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Jan. 17, 1939, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Margaret (Adams) Shook.

Betty was a graduate of Butler High School.

She was employed as a food service worker at St. Michael school cafeteria.

She was a member of North Main Street Church of God.

Betty enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking and baking, and especially spending time with her family and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Debbie L. Senopole and her husband, William, of Harrisville; three grandchildren, Matthew Senopole and his wife, Ashley, Michael Senopole, and Chelsea Hill and her husband, Travis; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Payson, Brooklynn and Kynslee; two sisters, Margaret Fisher of Grove City, and Velma Shook of Chicora; three brothers, Carl Shook and his wife, Lou, of Butler, Dale Shook and his wife, Mary, of West Sunbury, and Dennis Shook and his wife, Mary Ann, of Butler; her sister-in-law, Shirley Shook of Butler; numerous nieces and nephews; and one son, Jack Elliott of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack DuWayne Elliott, whom she married June 4, 1960, and who died Dec. 3, 1988; three sisters, Doris Pearce, Dolly Shook and her infant sister, Shirley Shook; five brothers, Don Shook, Cecil Shook, Albert “Bob” Shook, infant Raymond Shook and Melvin “Cookin” Shook.
